Howth Primary School is an attractive community school within minutes walk of the village.
Our school community is a vibrant partnership between pupils, parents, teachers and staff. Ongoing contact is maintained through parent teacher meetings, regular newsletters and the child’s journal. The school principal, Mr. John Chambers, is delighted to welcome prospective parents and will give them a tour of the school.
The Parents’ Support Group plays a vital role in communication between parents and school, as well as providing an enjoyable social opportunity to make new friends.
The staff of Scoil Mhuire work as a highly committed team, ensuring a happy, productive learning environment for all our children.
Children with special needs or those who are experiencing learning difficulties receive extra support from our learning support teacher and our resource teacher.
Regular events include School Sports, Soccer Blitz, Adventure Centre (Senior Classes), MS Readathon, Quizzes, Young Scientists’ exhibition etc. Recently we have been awarded the Green Flag by an Taisce in recognition of our Green School Project.
Howth Primary School is committed to the total development of each child in our care. Our aim is to encourage respect for self and for others in the context of learning.
