SAINT VINCENT De PAUL SOCIETY The local Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold their monthly collection to-day after all the Masses. MEDITATION and PRAYER MEDITATION and PRAYER Join us this WEDNESDAY 22nd May at 11am in SANTA SABINA CONVENT, SUTTON for some quiet time to meditate and pray with the readings for this Sunday – Trinity Sunday. This is an opportunity to take some time out and pray a while, using Scripture as a guide. CONFIRMATION IN HOWTH The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered to the pupils of 6th Class, Howth Primary School - Scoil Mhuire, on Friday 24th May at 1.00 p.m. in the Church. We remember them in our prayers.
MAYTIME MELODIES The Third Day Chorale will present 'Maytime Melodies' (Songs and Anthems from the Baroque to the Beatles) on Wednesday 29th May at 8.00pm in the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside. CEMETERY MASS SAINT FINTAN’S - SUTTON The Blessing of the Graves and Mass will take place in Saint Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton, on Sunday 9th June at 3.00 p.m.
ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FAIR – SCOIL MHUIREThe Annual Strawberry Fair will take place again this year at Howth Primary School (Scoil Mhuire), Tucketts Lane, Howth, on Sunday 16th June from 12 noon to 4 pm. A fun family day is promised with lots of games and activities for all to enjoy, BBQ, Strawberries and cream, entertainment, local crafts, raffle and lots more. Please come along and support the day. All welcome and all proceeds go towards the school.

HOWTH PARISH REFORM AND RENEWAL GROUP Monday 20th May 8.00 pm St. Columbanus Hall ‘Reflections on Christianity in war-torn Syria' Fr. William Stuart will speak about the Church in Syria, which is currently striving to support a minority community in a war-torn country. Fr. William has over ten years experience of the region and lived in Damascus in 2009-2010. He has been in Syria on a number of occasions in recent months experiencing ‘first hand’ the struggles of the ordinary people.

FUND-RAISING CAKE SALE Next Sunday, 26th May, there will be a fund-raising Cake sale in Saint Columbanus Hall from 10am to 1.00pm. Howth locals Jennifer Murphy and Brendan Mulligan will be taking part in a London to Paris Bike Ride in aid of Howth RNLI. The two have pledged to raise €3000 ensuring the north Dublin volunteer lifeboat crews can go to sea with the best equipment available, preserving their safety when saving lives at sea. All proceeds from the bake sale will go directly towards their efforts in fundraising.
