The Feast of All Saints (43/15)


ANNUAL CEMETERY MASS

The Annual Mass for all those buried in the two Cemeteries in the Parish – Saint Mary’s and Old Abbey – will take place to-day  -   Sunday 1st November in the Church at 3 o’clock.  The Blessing of the Graves in both Cemeteries will take place immediately after the Mass.


The SAINT PADRE PIO PRAYER GROUP will meet tomorrow evening  (Monday 2nd Nov.) in  St’s. Peter and Paul Church, Baldoyle for Rosary at 7.15pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm


SPECIAL NOVEMBER MASSES

The Annual Mass of Remembrance for all those who have died during the past year in the Parish of Sutton, will be celebrated on Sunday, 8th November, at 12 noon .in St. Fintan’s Church.


FOR ALL LIVES LOST AT SEA

Saturday 21st November at 3.00pm in the Sea Angling Centre, West Pier, Howth.


MASS FOR THOSE WHO DIED IN THE PAST YEAR IN THE PARISH OF HOWTH

This Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 26th November at 7.30pm in the Church of the Assumption, Howth.  All are welcome.


ALTAR LIST OF THE DEAD

Envelopes for the Altar List of the Dead are available in the Church.  Kindly fill in the names of those you wish to have remembered.  Please complete and return to the Parish Office/Sacristy.  The Masses on the first Friday of every month are offered for those whose names are on the Parish Altar List of the Dead.


Mindfulness Meditation with Joe Clarke

Meditation continues in St. Columbanus Hall on Monday evening 2nd November at 7.30pm.

Meditation will also take place on Tuesday morning 3rd November from 11.00am in St. Columbanus Hall.  No booking required – all are welcome.

FATIMA AND THE NEW EVANGELISATION

The importance of the Message of Fatima in Evangelisation has been stressed by a number of Popes over the years.  The Message includes a request for the Five First Saturdays Devotions.  The prayers for this devotion, a rosary with meditations on the mysteries, are said after the 10.00am Mass and the next one will be on Saturday 7th November.  All are welcome

MUDOAK

The story of a Howth Cottage by Bernie Nestor 1995

This is a nostalgic Memoir by Bernie Nestor of her life growing up in an isolated cottage overlooking Howth Golf Club on Howth Hill.  It is a social history covering several generations. It will appeal to a wide readership as well as to the people of Howth.  It would make a great gift, in particular a Christmas gift.  Published by the Howth Peninsula Heritage Society at €5.00 and sold in aid of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.  Copies are available in the Sacristy from Barbara at Tel. 839 7398.  


CHRISTIAN MEDITATION

CHARITY CAKE SALE AND RAFFLE

Saturday 28th November from 10am to 1.00pm in Saint Columbanus Hall in aid of the Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless people.  Brother Kevin needs financial help to provide 850 meals every day for people who are homeless or in need and up to 1,800 food parcels each week for those on the poverty threshold.  Please support this most deserving cause.
