BLESSING OF THE BOATS

The Blessing of the Boats will take place this afternoon  -  Sunday 10th August at the Memorial at the harbour at 3.00pm.  All are welcome.

 

 

FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Friday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Holyday of Obligation.  The Vigil Mass of the Feast will take place on Thursday evening (14th August) at 7 o’clock.  Masses on Friday morning at 8.00 and 10.00am.  Mass on Friday evening at 7o’clock.

 

HOWTH PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK

Howth Parish Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on SUNDAY31st August.  Cost - €50 – which includes Coach, Lunch (Tea/Coffee/Soup/Sandwich) and Evening Dinner at the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon.  There are just 7 places left on the coach.  Bookings may be made in the Parish Office weekday mornings.

 

 

Youth 2000 Summer Festival, Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary from Thursday 14th  to Sunday 17th August.  For young people aged 16-35, an opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new people.  This Festival has been nicknamed the “Holy Oxygen” with over 1000 young people from all corners of Ireland attending last year.  The festival is donation only.  Free buses available from towns throughout Ireland.  For more information and to book online seewww.youth2000.ie or Tel. 01 675 3690  or join us on facebook (youthtwothousandIreland).

ACCORD DUBLIN VACANCIES

ACCORD Dublin is the agency for Marriage and the Family of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin.  It is seeking to recruit a Director for Counselling and Supervision and a Director for Marriage Education. OUR DEAD

Please remember in your prayers LUCY MEEHAN, who died during the week.  Funeral Mass on Monday morning 11th August at 11.00am.  We offer our sympathy to her daughter Miggie and all the family.  May she rest in peace

DAY PILGRIMAGE TO LOUGH DERG

ART EXHIBITION

Baldoyle's 23rd Annual Art Exhibition of painting, drawing and photography will be held in Baldoyle Community Hall on Saturday 30th (12 noon-6pm) and Sunday 31st August (11am-5pm) 2014.  A donation will be made to St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.
