HOWTH SUMMER PROJECT  30th June to 11th July 2014 for 4 to 15 year olds

Enrolments and Bookings for this year’s Summer Project will take place today, on Sunday 8th June from 9.00 am to 12.30pm and tomorrow, Monday 9th June from 9.45am to 11.30am in Saint Columbanus Hall, Main Street, Howth.  Bring last year’s badge and enrol for €4.00 - without badge enrol for €5.00  


CEMETERY MASS SAINT FINTAN’S SUTTON

The Blessing of the Graves and Mass will take place in Saint Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton, to-day -  Sunday, 8th June at 3.00 p.m.


HOWTH PRIMARY SCHOOL - SCOIL MHUIRE   Tuckett’s Lane, Howth

STRAWBERRY FAIR  - Sunday 15th June  from 12 noon to 4.00 p.m.

Strawberries and Cream, Taste of Howth, Plants, Books and Toy Stall, Kid’s Crafts.  Penalty Shoot-Out, Obstacle Course and lots of entertainment  -  A great Day Out for all the family.


ANNUAL MASS AND ANOINTING OF THE SICK

The Annual Mass and Anointing of the Sick will take place next Sunday, 15th June at 3.30pm in the Church


FINGAL AND BALGRIFFIN CEMETERIES

The annual cemetery Mass in Fingal takes place on Sunday 22nd June at 12noon.  The annual cemetery Mass in Balgriffin takes place on Sunday 6th July at 3.00 pm.

11th WORLD FLOWER SHOW

The World Association of Flower Arrangers is holding their 11th World Show in the RDS Dublin from 18th to 22nd June.  This is the first time Ireland has been invited to host the show.  Pre-booked tickets are available from Ticketmaster or at the RDS on the day.  Visit www.wafaireland.com for further details.


St. VINCENT DE PAUL - ST.CLARE’S CONFERENCE

Volunteers required urgently: St.Clare’s Conference serves the Priorswood Area (Coolock)and are currently looking for new members to join the visiting teams in addition to one new member to act as Treasurer, as the current Treasurer is retiring at the end of this year- this position is a no-visiting role, ideally with some computer skills.  This is a pro-active Conference which hosts a special Learning for Life educational programme for children of the families they visit.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact:  Kay Burke – Tel. 087-974 9005

The Irish Cancer Society will hold a fund-raising Church Gate Collection, today, after all the Masses.


A Fundraising Bring and Buy Cake Sale will take place next Sunday, 15 June from 9am until 4pm in aid of the RNLI.  Organised by Howth local, Melanie O’Neill, all proceeds will go to this most deserving cause.  Melanie will also cycle from Paris to Nice (700km) in September for the Lifeboat Service.  The Cake Sale will take place in St Columbanus Hall, Howth Village.  Tea, Coffee, Cakes and Bakes, raffle, treats and goodies!  All are welcome.
