There will be Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. to-day followed by Evening Prayer and
Benediction.
FAMILY MASS REHEARSAL FOR CHRISTMAS
To-day –
Sunday (8th December), all are welcome to come to our Rehearsal of
Christmas Carols in preparation for the Holy Season. We will meet for one hour to-day at
1.30pm in the Church. Please come along
as in previous years to fill the Church with people, song and everything good
about Christmas! The rehearsal is in
preparation for the Vigil Mass (7pm) on Christmas Eve and the 10.30am Family
Mass on Christmas Day. There will also
be a visit (21st Dec.) to the local Nursing Homes to sing Carols for
the residents. Children and Adults are
welcome.
SAINT
VINCENT de PAUL ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
The Annual Christmas Collection for the Saint Vincent de
Paul Society will take place to-day
- Sunday
– (8th
December). This collection will replace the SHARE Collection.
THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE
CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY will be celebrated tomorrow, Monday 9th
December. It is not a Holy Day of
Obligation this year. Mass at 8.00am and
10.00am

The Annual Concert of
Christmas music will take place on Wednesday, 11th December at 7.30pm. The junior and senior choirs will be joined
by guest artists, Mary
Callan Clarke and Neville Doolin. M.C. Ian Dempsey. All are welcome.
PENANCE SERVICE IN PREPARATION FOR CHRISTMAS
The Parish PENANCE SERVICE
in preparation for Christmas will take place on TUESDAY 17th December at 8.00pm. The Service will be conducted by Father Gerry O’Hanlon, SJ. There
will be a number of visiting Confessors and there is the opportunity for
individual Confession during the evening.

HOWTH SENIOR CITIZENS
The Senior Citizens’ Christmas party will be held in the
ABBEY TAVERN on Sunday, 22nd December at 1.00 p.m. Individual invitations are not being sent out
but ALL SENIOR CITIZENS IN HOWTH PARISH ARE WELCOME. It is asked that only Senior Citizens
resident in Howth attend. Those who
require transport are asked to leave their names in the Sacristy Tel. 839 7398
DUBLIN DIOCESAN FOOD APPEAL
The Diocesan Food
Appeal continues through Advent. A most
sincere thanks to those who have already donated. Please continue to bring non-perishable food
items to the Church. The receptacle for
your donations in the Sacristy will remain there for the next few weeks. All donations will be collected by Crosscare.

Parish Christmas Carol Service will take place in the Church on Thursday, 19th
December at 7.30 p.m. This is a
wonderful night for all to come together and sing together in the true spirit

THE FAT-TURKEY WALK
The Annual walk in aid of Suttonians R.F.C and the I.R.F.U Charitable Trust for seriously injured players takes place on Saturday 28th December (10.30 a.m.) from Suttonians R.F.C around the Hill of Howth. Registration from 9.00 a.m. at Suttonians Club House.
