HOWTH SUMMER PROJECT

4th to 15th July 2011

Enrolments and Bookings for this year’s Summer Project will take place on Sunday 26th June from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and on Monday 27th June from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon in Saint Columbanus Hall, Main Street, Howth.

Bring last year’s badge and enrol for €4.00 without badge enrol for €5.00  The Project will run from Monday 4th to Friday 15th July based in Scoil Mhuire School Hall.

It is for all Boys and Girls from 4 years to 15 years with activities suitable for their ages.

We have Swimming, Bowling, Arts & Crafts, Cookery, Fun with Food, Table and Short Tennis, Indoor Hockey, Soccer, Knockout, Soccer skills, a sports night, Dance Magic, Disco, Fancy Dress, Teddy Bears Picnic, Day trips to Fort Lucan, Fun Galaxy, a Bouncy Castle and a Giant Slide etc…

All our leaders have been Garda Vetted for the safety of your children and as this is completely voluntary we are delighted to say we are the cheapest activity around.

Join the Pupils, Teachers and Parents of Scoil Mhuire for a Variety of Talent that all the family will enjoy.  Tickets - €5 are available at the School.  Matinee 15th June at 1.00 p.m. and Evening performance on 16th June at 7.00 p.m.

 

SUMMER FAIR   Sunday 19th June

12 noon - 4.00 p.m.

This event is getting bigger and better every year so don’t miss out, come along and enjoy the fun.  The Parents Association are looking for books, handbags, jewellery and toys for their stalls.  For the raffle they need un-used gift items, vouchers and bottles.  For the children’s art zone they are asking for glass baby food jars, trinkets, small packets of crayons, novelty items for the lucky dip.  There will be lots of entertainment  -  A great Day Out for all the family.

PRO CATHEDRAL SINGING WORKSHOP

The Pro Cathedral singing workshop for children takes place from Monday 15th  August to Friday 19th August (1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.)

For 8-15 year old boys and girls; The course is run by Blanaid Murphy, director of the Palestrina Choir and St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral Choir with Darren Magee

course assistant and organ scholar at the Pro Cathedral.  Participants sing in groups and small ensembles, explore the world of song, develop a good choral

technique have fun with others and experience a variety of singing styles, gospel, spiritual and traditional repertoire.  On Saturday afternoon 20th August participants in the workshop sing in the 6.00 p.m. Mass in the Pro Cathedral.  Fee for the workshop is €100.
