World Day of the Sick (20th Anniversary)
The World Day of the Sick takes place on Saturday 11th February (the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes). We will be celebrating this day with special prayers at all the Masses on the weekend of 11th and 12th February. From this weekend we will leave cards upon which you can write the name of a family member, friend or neighbour who is sick or who is a carer to the sick. All these cards will be placed in a basket and brought to the altar for all the Masses on 11th /12th February. The names on these cards will be especially remembered in the prayers of the parish community that weekend. We have designed our own prayer cards with the international prayer for the Sick and for Carers. Please take these prayer cards home to pray with the sick or carers.
