THE MOST HOLY TRINITY (22/12) BANK HOLIDAY - MONDAY 4th JUNE There will be one Mass in the Church at 11.00 a.m. followed by Miraculous Medal Novena Prayers.
Just a week to go! Next Sunday, 10th June sees the opening of IEC 2012 in the RDS. All over the world, pilgrims are preparing for their journey to this gathering of the universal Church in Dublin. They come to learn, to share, to sing, to make friends but above all to participate in adoration, prayer, liturgy and worship as they try to discern what Communion with Christ and with one another truly means in this year of Our Lord 2012.
This Sunday afternoon (3rd June) there will be silent Eucharistic Adoration in our Church from 3 00 to 4:30 pm to be followed by guided prayer and Benediction. Silent Eucharistic Adoration also continues every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (see Church notice board for times) as we pray that the IEC may help bring about reconciliation, healing, hope and renewal in our Church and at the same time rekindle our amazement in the Eucharist.
Yesterday, 2nd June saw the start of the Dublin's pilgrimage of the Seven Churches which runs until Sat 16th June. To be a pilgrim, visit these seven churches (with a companion if you can) in any order over any number of days and offer a prayer. You will surely encounter many overseas pilgrims during your visits. For those going to the Congress, the RDS will be open daily from 8am to 8pm. The best way to get there is by DART to Sandymount; departures from Howth every 15 and 45 mins past the hour with extra trains at peak times. From Sandymount station it a 10 min walk to the RDS. DARTS return from Sandymount to Howth every 27 and 57 mins past the hour with extra trains at peak times. Be sure and check train times at www.irishrail.ie
