FATIMA DEVOTIONS IN OUR CHURCH
Pope Francis
referred to Fatima at his first Sunday Morning
Angelus Address, a few days after his election.
Pope Benedict XV1 made numerous references to Fatima
during his Pontificate. For example, at
a special Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica for the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima
in the year after he became Pope, he expressed the hope that the Message of
Fatima would be increasingly accepted, understood and lived in every community.
The Message of
Fatima includes a request for the Five First Saturday Devotions. These take place in our Church on the first
Saturday of each month after the 11.00 a.m. Mass and conclude before
midday. The next session will be on Saturday
6th April and all are welcome.
Pilgrimage
to Knock
The Apostolate
of Perpetual Adoration is organising a pilgrimage to Knock on Saturday 20th
April next under the patronage of Bishop Neary.
The chief celebrant will be the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown.
The event is
open to everyone and is in keeping with the Church's Year of Faith. There will be a full programme of talks and
workshops from 10.30am to 5pm.
A bus is being
organised for people from Sutton, Howth and Baldoyle to travel together. If you wish to join this prayerful event,
please leave your name and contact details into the parish office.
