THE WORLD DAY OF PEACE 2014 will be celebrated in the diocese at a special Mass in St. Mary’s Pro Cathedral, on Wednesday 1st January at 11.00am.  The theme chosen by the Holy Father is “Fraternity, the Foundation and Pathway to Peace



Many thanks to all who contributed to the cost of the flowers for the decoration of the Altar for Christmas.  A big ‘Thank-You’ to Margaret, Martina, Mary and Marie for the Floral Arrangements.  Thanks also to all those who assisted with the Advent and Christmas Liturgies.  Thanks also to Michael Hunt, who provides our Christmas Tree every year.

A Special Concert: The Three Tenors, with guests, St. Fintan’s Parish Junior Choir, will be performing in concert in St. Fintan’s Church, Sutton on 21st February 2014.  Tickets €25 each now available from the St. Fintan's Parish Office, 9.30am to 12.30pm and from Coffeys of Sutton, Unit 6 Superquinn Shopping Centre, Sutton.

Morning Masses at 8.00 and 10.00.  The Masses on the first Friday of the month are offered for those whose names are on the Parish Altar List of the Dead.



The 2014 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be observed from 18th to the 25th January 2014.  An interdenominational Service will take place in St. Fintan’s Church, Sutton on Sunday 19th January at 8.00pm to mark the inauguration of the week of prayer.  Canon Desmond Sinnamon of the Church of Ireland has accepted the invitation of the Dublin Council of Churches to preach the homily.
