BANK HOLIDAY - MONDAY 28th OCTOBER
There will be one Mass in the Church at 11.00 a.m. followed by the Miraculous Medal Novena Prayers.
ANNUAL FORTY HOURS’ ADORATION
The annual period of Solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (FORTY HOURS’ ADORATION) will take place this week-end - (27th / 28th October).
The Exposition will begin after the 12 o’clock Mass to-day - Sunday and will continue until 5.30 p.m. There will be Evening Prayer to-day - Sunday at 5 o’clock.
The Exposition will continue after the 11 o’clock Mass tomorrow - Bank Holiday Monday (28th October) and will conclude with a Eucharistic Prayer Service and Benediction at 5.00 p.m.
SAINT VINCENT De PAUL SOCIETY
The local Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold their monthly collection to-day after all the Masses.
THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS – FRIDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
Friday (1st November) is a Holyday of Obligation. Vigil Mass on Thursday evening at 7 o’clock. Masses on Friday morning, at 8.00 a.m. 10.00 a.m. Evening Mass on Friday 1st Nov. at 7 o’clock.
Saturday 2nd November is The Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed - ALL SOULS DAY. Morning Mass at 10.00 a.m.
ANNUAL CEMETERY MASS
The Annual Mass for all those buried in the two Cemeteries in the Parish - Saint Mary’s and
Old Abbey – will take place on Sunday 3rd November in the Church at 3 o’clock. The Blessing of
the Graves in both Cemeteries will take place immediately after the Mass.
Please note that the Church will be closed from 4th to 7th November 2013, to facilitate essential WOODWORM TREATMENT. The Church will re-open on 8th Nov.

RECENT BAPTISM

HOWTH CHAMBER MUSIC
On Wednesday 30th October, a concert will take place in the BURROW NATIONAL SCHOOL, Sutton at 8.00 p.m. Performers on the evening will include Philippe Graffin, Amy Norrington, Alasdair Beatson, Gwendolyn Masin and Lilli Maijala. The Chamber Group will also perform in St. MARY’S CHURCH OF IRELAND, Deerpark, on Friday, 1st November at 8.00 p.m. Tickets - €15 are available to buy from Finola Young (Centra), and the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Church Roof Fund , St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Deerpark, Howth.
FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS
The Five First Saturdays Devotions, requested by Our Lady of Fatima when she appeared in
1925 to Lucia dos Santos, who now has the official Church title “Servant of God”, will in
future take place after the 10.00am Mass on the first Saturday of each month.
All are welcome. A leaflet explaining the devotion is available on the Book Stand at the
back of the Church.
ANNUAL AUCTION IN AID OF SAINT FRANCIS HOSPICE, RAHENY
The Annual Auction in aid of Saint Francis Hospice, Raheny will take place on Sunday, 17th November in the Abbey Tavern, Howth, starting at 1.30 p.m. The organising Committee are asking for your generous and kind support once again for this deserving cause.
