Sunday 26th April 2015 Fourth Sunday of Easter – Day of Prayer for Vocations (16/15) DUBLIN DIOCESAN CHILD SAFEGUARDING DAY Next Sunday, (3rd May) the Fifth Sunday of Easter has been dedicated as Dublin Diocesan Child Safeguarding Day. During the season of Easter we continue to reflect on the Pascal mystery, the death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Next Sunday we are asked to recognise, celebrate and encourage the involvement of children and young people in the life of the church, in our diocese and in our parishes. We pray God’s blessing on the children and young people of our diocese, on their parents/guardians and on all concerned for their well-being. ANNUAL COLLECTION FOR FORMATION OF STUDENTS FOR PRIESTHOOD To-day - Sunday 26th April, there will be a SPECIAL COLLECTION TO SUPPORT THE FORMATION OF STUDENTS FOR THE PRIESTHOOD This collection will replace the SHARE collection. DIOCESAN GATHERING OF BAPTISM TEAMS There will be a Diocesan gathering of Baptism Teams at Clonliffe College on Thursday 30th April from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. It will be led by Donal Harrington who is familiar with the pilot projects on developing a Diocesan Baptism Programme. Parish Baptism Team members and anyone interested in being involved with the Parish Baptism Ministry are invited. The Masses on the first Friday of the month are offered for those whose names are on the Parish Altar List of the Dead. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION First Holy Communion for the pupils of Second Class in Howth’s Primary School - Scoil Mhuire, will take place on Saturday 9th May at 11.00 a.m. in the Church. CONFIRMATION IN HOWTH The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered to the pupils of 6th Class, Howth Primary School - Scoil Mhuire, on Friday 22nd May at 1.00 p.m. in the Church. We remember them in our prayers. DUBLIN DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK The Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday 17th May. There is a notice on the Church Notice Board with details of the ceremonies and their times. You might consider driving to Knock. It’s now a very comfortable drive mostly on motorway and takes less than 3 hours. Leaving Dublin between 9am and 10am you will arrive at Knock with plenty of time for a packed lunch before the first ceremony at 2.30pm. This programme continues on Wednesday 29th April at 7.30pm in The Presbytery in the grounds of Ss. Laurence O'Toole Church, Baldoyle (beside Lidl).
