YEAR OF FAITH - FRIDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY GROUP

As a practical way of participating in the Year of Faith you are welcome to join our Bible Study Group.  The next session will be on FRIDAY 7th December at 11am in Sutton Parish Centre.  (Please note that there is no Bible Study on Friday 30th Nov.)  In preparation for Dec. 7th, we will be reading JEREMIAH chapters 1, 4 and 5.  ALL ARE WELCOME.  For more information please contact James c/o Sutton Parish Office, Tel. 839 2001 or Sr. Anne c/o Baldoyle Parish Office, Tel. 832 4313.

 

HOWTH DEANERY - YEAR OF FAITH SERIES OF TALKS

The first in this series of talks will be given by Fr. Liam Tracey, OSMVatican Two: The Liturgy; where we were to where we are now.  Wednesday 12th December from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m. in the Killester Parish Resource Centre, Howth Road.  All are invited to attend.

 

CONFIRMATION 2013

REMINDER:  To all parents of Confirmation Candidates: the Parish Preparation for Confirmation programme You shall be my Witnesses…” will commence with a meeting for parents on this coming THURSDAY 29th NOVEMBER at 7.30pm in Scoil Mhuire .  This programme is open to all Confirmation candidates in the parish whether they are attending Scoil Mhuire or another school.  For further information contact Valerie Darby, Coordinator at 086-313 7850 or Barbara, Parish Office, 839 7398

POST- CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME

DUBLIN GOSPEL CHOIR WORKSHOP    SAINT FINTAN’S CHURCH

Suzanne Carla  ( www.suzannecarlamusic.com) will host a Gospel choir workshop in St. Fintan’s Church TODAY - Sunday, 25th  November from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.  This practical workshop will focus on group singing techniques, harmony and gospel repertoire.  The workshop will conclude with a performance of the songs learned alongside the Dublin Gospel Choir.  Our hope is to set up a new gospel choir in St. Fintan’s and we encourage music lovers, instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages to attend the workshop.  If you would like more information contact Suzanne at suzannecarlamcdonnell@gmail.com or Sutton Parish Office Tel. 839 2001

HOWTH PENINSULA HERITAGE SOCIETY NOVEMBER LECTURE

On Tuesday next, 27th November at 8.00p.m. Frank Nugent will deliver a lecture in the Howth Sea-Angling Centre, West Pier, Howth on ’The Irish and the Race to the South Pole’ Admission to non-members of the Society is €4.00.  All welcome.

St Fintan’s National School, Sutton are having a Book Fair selling childrens’ books on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th November from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.  Everybody is welcome so please come along.

MAJOR CHANGES TO DUBLIN BUS TIMETABLE
