HOLY WEEK CELEBRATIONS FOR FAMILIES
During Holy Week (April 1st - 8th), we will celebrate the Passion of Jesus over the course of three special liturgies designed for children. Next Sunday (Palm Sunday) we invite all the children to take part in our entrance procession at the beginning of Mass when we remember that Jesus came into Jerusalem to great singing and palm-waving! On Holy Thursday (April 5th) the 5.00 pm (Quiet) Mass is part of the Communion Preparation Masses for Second Class and remembers Jesus’ last Supper with his friends when he celebrated the First Mass. On Good Friday (April 6th) at 12 noon the children present the Stations of the Cross to remember the steps Jesus took on the day he died for us. On Easter Sunday (April 8th) the 10.30 am Mass will be a joyful and colourful celebration of the Risen Lord. Therefore, please note that the full Passion will not be read at 10.30am Mass next Sunday (Palm Sunday), but the leaflets containing the full Passion will be available in the Church.

Theatre Night in Howth
Theatre-goers in Howth have an opportunity to enjoy entertaining , professional theatre on Friday night next, March 30th at 8pm when renowned actor and playwright Peter Sheridan presents his much acclaimed one-man show “47 Roses” in Howth Golf Club. Many will already know of this intrigueing play from its long run in Dublin as well as in London and New York where it was lauded by the critics for its humour, its warmth and its most remarkable story. In it he conjures up the voices, sights and songs of his 1960’s childhood in Dublin, in a powerful coming-of-age story, peopled with deliciously eccentric characters and wonderfully bizarre incidents. An added bonus - after the performance, the audience will have the opportunity to discuss the play, his books, films and theatre productions with Peter Sheridan. Tickets available from the bar at Howth Golf Club at €15 and all are welcome.
A Steam Train will be coming into Howth Railway Station to-day - Sunday 25th March
