There will also be a complimentary copy for all. HOWTH PARISH REFORM AND RENEWAL GROUP ‘The impact of religious leadership on the belief and affiliation of laity’. Monday evening, 22nd February 8.00pm - St. Columbanus Hall. Facilitated by Hugh Turpin (Queen’s University, Belfast and Aarhus University, Denmark). Hugh has studied at UCD and Oxford and is currently investigating the impact and influence of the example of parents/guardians and religious leaders on the belief and affiliation of laity. SAINT VINCENT de PAUL - HOWTH CONFERENCE The local Conference urgently require new members to help provide support and friendship to people in need. THIRD PRINT OF MUDOAK The story of a Howth Cottage by Bernie Nestor 1995 This is a nostalgic Memoir by Bernie Nestor of her life growing up in an isolated cottage overlooking Howth Golf Club on Howth Hill. It is a social history covering several generations. It will appeal to a wide readership as well as to the people of Howth. Published by the Howth Peninsula Heritage Society at €5.00 and sold in aid of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny. Copies are available in the Sacristy from Barbara or Tel. 01- 839 7398 GOOD FRIDAY STATIONS OF THE CROSS 25th March 2016 at 8.00pmIn preparation for the annual celebration of the Stations of the Cross, a short meeting will be held at 7.00pm on Thursday 25th February in the Sacristy. The Stations will follow the usual format - costume, music and mime. We need actors and backstage crew so come along to the meeting and support this event which is such an important part of our Parish Holy Week programme. WEEK OF GUIDED PRAYER St. Fintan’s Parish, Sutton are hosting a Week of Guided Prayer from Sunday 6th March (7.30pm) to Saturday evening 12th March. It is an opportunity to participate in a retreat with a difference, a 'Retreat in Daily Life'. Booking forms are now available in the Sacristy and should be returned to Sutton Parish Office by Tues 23rd Feb. The Retreat will take place in the Parish Pastoral Centre at St. Fintan’s church. As part of the Society’s contribution to the 1916 centenary, we address the legacy of the man whose final resting place is in Kilbarrack Cemetery.
