THE VIOLIN PROJECT – TWO FREE CONCERTS

Howth Chamber Music has spurred on the existence of four Violin Projects across local schools since 2012 reaching out to over 700 students enjoying weekly violin classes.  The goal is to focus on developing and reinforcing the love of classical music for all through children’s orchestras as well as a local community adult string ensemble.  Howth Chamber Music has organised two concerts catering especially for children featuring Dominic Harlan, pianist and composer.  Through workshops, recitals and presentations, Dominic has introduced countless people of all ages and abilities to the worlds of opera, music theatre, concert performances and composition.  The two 1 hour concerts will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Howth, on Friday 24th October at 11.30am and 1.30pm.  Especially for children, the concert is a story built around classical repertoire of Schubert, Rossini, Mozart and many more.  The concerts are free of charge. Donations received at these events will go directly to the Violin Project.
