SAINT VINCENT de PAUL ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
The Annual Christmas Collection for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society will take place to-day - Sunday – (11th December). This collection will replace the SHARE Collection.
Third Sunday of Advent
There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. to-day followed by Evening Prayer and Benediction.
CHRISTMAS PARTY HOWTH SENIOR CITIZENS
The Senior Citizens’ Christmas party will be held in the ABBEY TAVERN next Sunday, 18th December at 1.00 p.m. Individual invitations are not being sent out but ALL SENIOR CITIZENS IN HOWTH PARISH ARE WELCOME. It is asked that only Senior Citizens resident in Howth attend. Those who require transport are asked to leave their names in the Sacristy.

HOWTH PARISH CAROL SERVICE - MONDAY 19th DECEMBER
Last year the snow played havoc with our plans and the Parish Carol Service had to be cancelled. This year we are looking forward to going ahead on Monday 19th December. The Carol Service will begin at 7.30 p.m. Please come along as in previous years to fill the Church with people, song and everything good about Christmas! This is always a great night and don't forget we have mince pies afterwards!! Looking forward to seeing you there. All singers and musicians who would like to take part in the choir are asked to gather at 6.30 p.m. in the Church for a quick rehearsal.
PENANCE SERVICE IN PREPARATION FOR CHRISTMAS
This year the Penance Service will take place in Howth Church on Tuesday 20th December at 8.00 p. m. The Service will be conducted by Reverend Paddy Carberry, S.J. There will be a number of visiting confessors.
HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE HOUSEBOUND ON CHRISTMAS MORNING
Our Special Ministers of the Eucharist will be bringing Holy Communion to those who are ill on Christmas morning after the 10.30 Family Mass. Anybody with a relative or friend staying with them for Christmas and if that person cannot get to the Church, please let us know by contacting the Church Sacristy/Parish Office. (Tel. 839 7398) A Minister of the Eucharist will be happy to bring Holy Communion to the sick person.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE
There will be a “Festival of Carols” Celebration in the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside on Wednesday, 14th December at 7.30 p.m. This is the culmination of a project involving the Parishes of Howth, Sutton, Baldoyle and Bayside working together. Choirs and musicians from all the Parishes join with the THIRD DAY CHORALE to present this evening of music in preparation for Christmas.

Coalface Christianity in Action
The Faith Development Group would like to thank all those who facilitated and attended the November series of talks and would welcome suggestions for future series. Donations made on the occasion of each talk were forwarded in their entirety to the speakers involved.
Poblascoil Neasain, Bayside/Baldoyle, invites you to Carols by Candlelight on Tuesday, 13th December, at 7.30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to buy some Christmas crafts on the night and complementary seasonal refreshments will be available afterwards. All are welcome.

The St. Francis Hospice Howth Auction Committee would like to thank sincerely the local businesses and community who contributed to and supported their recent auction held in the Abbey Tavern. The auction raised €12,212 for St. Francis Hospice, Raheny. The generous contributions, donations, support and attendance on the day ensured once again another great success. A special thank you to those who volunteered to help the committee on the day. Your help was invaluable and ensured the smooth running of the auction. It showed a wonderful community spirit and a very enjoyable day was had by all. Well done!
