FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT                                                                                              (10/13)

Henri J. M. Nouwen tells us that the spiritual discipline of gratitude is “the explicit effort to acknowledge that all I am and have is given to me as a gift of love, a gift to be celebrated with joy”.  This Lent, as we journey to Easter as a pilgrim people we pray that this gratitude will be celebrated and will also lead us to be people who love others as we have been loved.

To-day - Sunday 10th March - Novena Mass at 12 noon.  The Novena Mass on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March will be at 8.00 p.m.  The Novena of Grace concludes on Tuesday evening (12th March).  The Novena is being conducted by FATHER PIARAS JACKSON, S.J.

There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m.

Sung Evening Prayer and Benediction will follow at 5 o’clock.  All welcome.

Those who would like to take part in the presentation of the Stations of the Cross in the Church on Good Friday, are invited to meet in Saint Columbanus Hall on Thursday evening, 14th March from 7.00  to  8.00 p.m.   All are welcome.

Join us this WEDNESDAY, 13th MARCH at 11.00 a.m. in SANTA SABINA CONVENT, SUTTON for some quiet time to meditate and pray during this Lenten season.  This is an opportunity to pray a while, using Scripture, as we journey with Jesus through the wilderness.  For more information please contact Sr. Anne c/o Baldoyle Parish Office 832 4313 or James c/o Sutton Parish Office 01 839 2001.

Catholicism is a groundbreaking Documentary Film Series which illustrates the truth, goodness and beauty of the Catholic faith.  With host Fr. Robert Barron you will learn what Catholics believe and why, while being immersed in the art, architecture, literature, beliefs, and practices of the Catholic tradition.  Filmed in 50 locations throughout 15 countries this highly-acclaimed 10 episode programme is an opportunity to deepen our faith in an enjoyable way.  Episode Four of the programme – “Mary, the Mother of God” will be shown this Friday March 15th at 11am in Sutton Parish Centre.  After the screening we will have the opportunity to share and discuss some of the issues raised in each episode.  For more information contact either Fr. Liam Lacey or James Daly, Sutton Parish Office, 01 839 2001.
