First Holy Communion 2011
Mass of Preparation Sunday 16th January 10.30 a.m.

Next Sunday, 16th January we continue the special journey of preparation for all the children from the Parish who are preparing for First Holy Communion.
We invite all the children with their families to come to Mass and you as parishioners to support our children as they get to know Jesus in preparation for their special day next May.
During the Mass next Sunday all the children will be presented with a unique certificate in recognition of their journey of preparation.
Please come along and join the children of Howth Parish as they grow closer in friendship with Jesus.          Howth Family Mass Team

THE IRISH COUNTRYWOMEN'S ASSOCIATION
The Irish Countrywomen's Association is the largest women's organisation in Ireland.  Being a member allows women of all ages to learn new skills, participate in a wide range of activities and enjoy the friendship of others.

Events are organised at local, federation and national level and there is something for everyone to enjoy.  It also gives women a unique opportunity to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Howth ICA has been in existence for fifty five years.  We are a friendly group of women who hold our guild meetings on the first Monday of the month although members often meet for social events at other times.
In addition, our craft group meets weekly.  While beading and card making are among the current favourites, more traditional crafts such as Knitting, Crochet, Cross Stitch and Embroidery are making a comeback.  There is also a thriving Club Gaeilge and a newly formed Book Club.  Some members enjoy Pitch and Putt and Keep Fit Classes.  It is the aim of the guild to provide members with a stimulating programme of talks, social and cultural events.

Additionally, we are fortunate to be within easy range of An Grianan (Centre for Lifelong Learning) where we are able to take full advantage of residential and day courses in beautiful surroundings.

Our next meeting takes place at 8.00 p.m. on Monday 10th January in Saint Mary's Church of Ireland Hall, Deerpark.  New members will be very welcome.
