CHURCH COLLECTIONS

FRIDAY 3rd June - FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
Morning Masses at 8.00 and 10.00.  Evening Mass at 8 o’clock.  All the Masses on the first Friday of the month are offered for those whose names are on the Parish Altar List of the Dead.

CEMETERY MASS   -   SAINT FINTAN’S - SUTTON
The Blessing of the Graves and Mass will take place in Saint Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton, on Sunday 12th June at 3.00 p.m.

FUND-RAISING CYCLE
Eugene O’Leary (The Pedalling Pensioner), will cycle the Camino de Santiago (St. James’ Pilgrimage route – 400 + miles) and raise funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.  He will start the cycle in Logroño on 30th May 2011 and finish in Santiago de Compostela on 6th June.  Journal and photos will be posted on www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/mycamino

SAINT VINCENT De PAUL SOCIETY
The local Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold their monthly collection to-day – after all the Masses.

FATIMA DEVOTIONS IN OUR CHURCH
The First Saturday Prayers which are said in our Church each month are based on the Message of Fatima.  They are said on the first Saturday of each month after the 11.00 a.m. Mass and conclude before mid-day.  The prayers are part of the First Saturday Devotions of Reparation which include receiving Holy Communion and going to Confession.  The next Prayer Meeting will be on Saturday 4th June and all are welcome to attend.

HOWTH PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB
CHARLIE McDERMOTT – ‘SPIRIT OF HOWTH’ PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
Competition is open to Juniors 16 years and under and Adults over 16.  Photographs will be judged on the extent to which they reflect the “Spirit of Howth” in the widest sense of people, scenery, activities, culture or heritage.  Photos can be black and white or colour ranging in size from 6”x4” up to 12”x8”.
Send/deliver your entries (max 3 entries per person) to Mr. Seán Briody, C/o McDermott’s Pharmacy, Main St., Howth, to reach him no later than 12.00 noon Wednesday 29th June.  Entry fee to the Adult Category is €2 per photo or max 3 photos for €5.  Entry to the Junior Category is free.
