PASSION (Palm) SUNDAY                                                                            (12/13) 

SUNDAYS OF LENT   EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENt

There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m.

Sung Evening Prayer and Benediction will follow at 5 o’clock.  All welcome.

ADVOCATE COLLECTION – Sunshine Fund

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Advocate Collection will be taken up after all Masses to-day.

RECONCILIATION SERVICE

WITH INDIVIDUAL CONFESSION IN PREPARATION FOR EASTER

This Prayer Service will take place on Tuesday, 26th March at 8.00 p.m. in the Church.  The Service will be conducted by Father John Callinan, SJ.  There will be a number of visiting Confessors.

Confessions during Holy Week

Thursday 28th March 10.30 – 11.30 a.m.       Friday 29th March 4.30 – 5.30 p.m.

Saturday 30th March 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and 4.00 – 5.00 p.m.

 

Children’s Stations of the Cross

The Children’s Stations of the Cross will be presented here in the Church of the Assumption by the local school children at 12.00 noon on Good Friday.

WAY OF THE CROSS

The Annual Way of the Cross through the Phoenix Park will take place on Good Friday, 29th March.  Led by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, it will begin at the Wellington Monument at 12 noon and proceed to the Papal Cross.  All are welcome.

 

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE SICK AND HOUSEBOUND ON HOLY THURSDAY EVENING AND EASTER SUNDAY MORNING

Parish Ministers of the Eucharist will be bringing Holy Communion to the Sick and Housebound on Holy Thursday Evening after the EVENING MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER (9.00 p.m. approx.) and after the 10.30 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday morning.  Parishioners who may have relatives or friends who cannot get to the Church are invited to leave names and contact telephone numbers in the Sacristy.  The Ministers of the Eucharist will be happy to bring them Holy Communion on Holy Thursday evening after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper (9.00 p.m.) and after the 10.30 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday morning.EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE

On Tuesday next, 26th March at 8.00p.m. Gerry Butler will deliver a lecture in the Howth Sea-Angling Centre, West Pier, Howth on ’The Lighthouses of the South West Coast’ Admission to non-members of the Society is €4.00.  All welcome.
