Sunday 1st May 2011
Second Sunday of Easter  (Divine Mercy Sunday)    (18/11)

MAY DAY HOLIDAY    -   MONDAY 2nd MAY
There will be one Mass in the Church at 11.00 a.m. followed by the Miraculous Medal Novena Prayers.

Howth Parish Pastoral Council

At our recent meeting we heard positive feedback from the Suicide Awareness - a Community Response event.  Thanks again to all who helped out on that night.

The PPC members were well represented at the Deanery/Cluster meeting in Clonliffe at the end of March.  We had the opportunity to discuss with PPC members from Baldoyle, Sutton and Bayside on 'What is Church, do we really need it?  We then had a presentation from Fr. Michael Drumm on 'Church'.  There will be another meeting in May.

Fr. Michael Drumm also chaired a fact-finding meeting in Maynooth on the future role of the Church in schools.  One PPC member kindly travelled to Maynooth to be part of that discussion.

The sub-committee working on the parish website have transferred the website to a different 'host-site' which will be financially cheaper for the parish and will ensure that the website gets a yearly update from that host site.  Further details down the line.

The PPC is exploring a way of using the Parish Radio as a means of communicating news with parishioners who are housebound or who don't have a computer.
