Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve with Children’s Nativity Pageant at 7.00 p.m.

Midnight Mass at 12 o’clock
Masses on Christmas morning at 8.30, 10.30 (Family Mass), and 12.00 noon
No evening Mass on Christmas Day

SAINT VINCENT de PAUL ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
We thank you for your generous response to this collection which was held at all the Masses last Sunday.  The total collection to date is €8,380-00  The members of the Howth Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society thank you for your generosity.  The local Conference are available at

CHRISTMAS PARTY   HOWTH SENIOR CITIZENS
The Senior Citizens’ Christmas party will be held in the ABBEY TAVERN - to-day - Sunday at
1.00 p.m.  ALL SENIOR CITIZENS IN HOWTH PARISH ARE WELCOME.

Fourth Sunday of Advent
There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. to-day followed by Evening Prayer and Benediction.

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE
The Parish Christmas Carol Service will take place in the Church tomorrow evening – Monday, 20th December at 7.30 p.m.
Carols, Readings and Drama.  Refreshments will be served afterwards.  All welcome.

PENANCE SERVICES FOR CHRISTMAS
TUESDAY 21st December
: Communal Penance Service in preparation for Christmas in Howth Church at 8.00 p.m.  There will be a number of visiting confessors and the Service will be conducted by Monsignor Eoin Thynne, Head Chaplain to the Defence Forces.

WEDNESDAY 22nd December: Penance Service in Saint Fintan’s Church, Sutton at 8.00 p.m.

HOWTH PARISH FAMILY MASS
The Family Mass Choir practice will take place on Wednesday 22nd December at 3.45 p.m. in the Church.  At 5.00 p.m. we will proceed to the Howth Hill Lodge Nursing Home to sing Carols for the residents and staff.  All singers welcome on Christmas Eve (7.00 p.m.) and Christmas morning (10.30 a.m.) to sing with the choir.

Christmas Day Swim at Balscadden Beach
, Howth, from 11.00 a.m.  Come along to swim or to support those who are going to make a splash!  (Bring along a mug for a hot cuppa afterwards.)

A NEW YEAR’S EVE SERVICE of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will take place in the Church on New Year’s Eve (Friday 31st December) at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.  All welcome.

Nativity Pageant
The children of the Parish will present a Nativity Pageant on Christmas Eve in the Church.  The Pageant, under the direction of Pat Guinan and the Family Mass Group, will be presented during the 7.00 p.m. Mass on Friday 24th December.

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE HOUSE BOUND ON CHRISTMAS MORNING
Our Special Ministers of the Eucharist will be bringing Holy Communion to those who are ill on Christmas morning after the 10.30 Family Mass.  Anybody with a relative or friend staying with them for Christmas and if that person cannot get to the Church, please let us know by contacting the Church Sacristy/Parish Office.  (Tel. 839 7398)  A Minister of the Eucharist will be happy to bring Holy Communion to the sick person.
