Howth Challenge Triathlon – 17th July 2011

healthpro would like to advise the community that the Howth Triathlon will commence TO-DAY from 8.30 am.  This will comprise of a Swim, Cycle and Run.  The cycle will be ascending through Howth Village.  Motorists please take extreme care this morning as there will be more cyclists on the road than normal.

We look forward to welcoming the Grampian Concert Orchestra to Howth in August.  The orchestra, which was founded in 1998 is an established part of the Grampian music scene in the north east of Scotland.  The members are amateur musicians from many different backgrounds and are a mixture of students, retired, working and non-working people who have a common passion for making music and sharing it with others.  On Sunday 7th August, the orchestra will present an evening of classical music in the Church (time to be decided).  If you would like to help plan and prepare for this event, please contact the Parish Office – Tel. 839 7398

The local Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold their monthly collection to-day – after all the Masses.

Please remember in your prayers SHEILA and VINCENT O’BRIEN who died recently.  Our sympathy to their children Emer, Hugh and Brian.  We also pray for MARY DALY who has died.  We offer our sympathy to her sister and brother and all her family.   May they rest in peace.
