Holy Week Celebrations for families!
During Holy Week (April 17 to 23) we will celebrate the Passion of Jesus over the course of two special liturgies designed for children.
On Holy Thursday (April 21) the 5pm (Quiet) Mass is part of the Communion Preparation Masses for Second Class (Scoil Mhuire) and remembers Jesus' last Supper with his friends when he celebrated the First Mass.
On Good Friday (April 22) at 12 noon the children will present the Stations of the Cross to remember the steps Jesus took on the day he died for us.
On Easter Sunday the 10.30 a.m. Mass will be a joyful and colourful celebration of the Risen Lord.

HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE SICK AND HOUSEBOUND ON HOLY THURSDAY EVENING AND EASTER SUNDAY MORNING.
Parish Ministers of the Eucharist will be bringing Holy Communion to the Sick and Housebound on Holy Thursday Evening after the EVENING MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER (9.00 p.m. approx.) and after the 10.30 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday morning.  Parishioners who may have relatives or friends who cannot get to the Church are invited to leave names and contact telephone numbers in the Sacristy.  The Ministers of the Eucharist will be happy to bring them Holy Communion on Holy Thursday evening after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper (9.00 p.m.) and after the 10.30 a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday morning.

ADVOCATE COLLECTION
The Sunshine Fund of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is holding its annual collection this week-end – (16th /17th April) after all the Masses.  Each year, The Sunshine Fund provides much-needed holidays for approximately 1,300 of Dublin’s less fortunate children.  These vital holidays would not be possible without the support received at the Advocate Collection.  Please be as generous as you can.

Copies of the Parish Holy Week Timetable are available on the tables in the Church

HOWTH PRIMARY SCHOOL – SCOIL MHUIRE
Thanks for all the kind support for the Treasure Hunt last Sunday.  You will be pleased to hear that we raised €1,400 for the Classroom Renovation Fund.  This is about 30% of the cost of renovating one classroom so it is a major help to getting to our goal of having every classroom refurbished by the beginning of the School year in 2012.
