Fourth Sunday of Easter (Vocations Sunday)     (20/11)

HOWTH TRANSITION YEAR STUDENTS GRADUATE
The Howth Parish ‘Transition Year Student’ Programme, now in its 4th year, has just concluded with a final working session focused on Community and Spirituality and a graduation ceremony in the Stella Maris Retreat Centre.
The year long Programme, which is centred around personal development and greater community awareness, includes working sessions on Life Coaching Skills, Personal Health, including physical, spiritual and mental health, Active Community Relationships with Community Gardai and the Howth Tidy Towns, a creative session on ‘Designing your own Community’, and a full working session on Career Guidance.
30 students took part in this year’s once a month Programme from a range of four secondary schools which serve the Howth area: St. Fintan’s High School, Santa Sabina, Pobailscoil Nessan and Belvedere College.
All participants were presented with an Achievement Certificate for their respective Transition Year Portfolios.
“The involvement and participation by students continue to exceed all our expectations and make us work harder to sharpen the focus and to improve the content of the Programme, including greater integrated group work”, said Paul Fagan, Chairman, Howth Parish Youth Group.

VOCATIONS SUNDAY
