AN ASHRAM EXPERIENCE

29th June - 29th July

Korko Moses, a Jesuit priest from India, meditation teacher and yoga master, will lead the ashram experience.

Time for Meditation, Yoga (gentle stretches) and Spiritual direction.  A Time of Silence, Simplicity, Equanimity.  Residential €85 per day (includes meals),  Day attendees €55 per day (includes meals) 7.30am to 8.00pm – Places are still available both for Residential and Day visitors.

HOWTH PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK

This year’s Howth Parish Pilgrimage to Knock has now been arranged for SUNDAY 31st August.  Cost - €50 – which includes Coach, Lunch (Tea/Coffee/Soup/Sandwich) and Evening Dinner at the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon.  Bookings may be made in the Parish Office weekday mornings.

 

 

Youth 2000 Summer Festival, Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary from Thursday 14th  to Sunday 17th August.  For young people aged 16-35, an opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new people.  This Festival has been nicknamed the “Holy Oxygen” with over 1000 young people from all corners of Ireland attending last year.  The festival is donation only.  Free buses available from towns throughout Ireland.  For more information and to book online seewww.youth2000.ie or Tel. 01 675 3690  or join us on facebook (youthtwothousandIreland).

 

SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL - Annual Clothing Appeal

The Society of Saint Vincent De Paul is seeking your help in its Annual Clothing Appeal.  The appeal is for clean, good-quality clothes, bed-clothes, curtains and shoes.  Bags will be distributed on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2014.  The collection of the bags will take place on Sunday 3rd August DURING THE MORNING MASSES ONLY.  The Society is conscious of the tremendous support given by the Parishioners of this Parish over the years and thank you most sincerely on behalf of those you have helped.

 

Pilgrimage to the Holy Land - Monday 8 - Tuesday 16 September (St Brigid's Parish, Killester) This 9 day pilgrimage takes in all the major sites - Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Cana, Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea.  In addition to a local guide, Monsignor Stenson who is accompanying the pilgrimage will celebrate Mass each day at one of the sacred shrines.  Full details are available from the Parish Office in Killester - Cathy(01) 833 2974

Howth Community Drama Group

AN URGENT APPEAL

Due to the increase in the number of pupils attending Howth Primary School, Scoil Mhuire, and the subsequent need for extra classrooms etc., The Howth Community Drama Group have been asked to find a new home for their Costumes, Sound and Lighting Equipment.  Can you help?  If you have a secure lock-up or building or 'space' which may accommodate our needs, in part or in whole, please contact Barbara at the Parish Office (839 7398) or Joan Lyons 832 3572 (9am to 2pm)

Mindfulness Meditation with Joe Clarke
