CONCERT ORCHESTRA FROM ABERDEEN TO VISIT HOWTH IN AUGUST

We look forward to welcoming the Grampian Concert Orchestra to Howth in August.  The orchestra, which was founded in 1998 is an established part of the Grampian music scene in the north east of Scotland.  The members are amateur musicians from many different backgrounds and are a mixture of students, retired, working and non-working people who have a common passion for making music and sharing it with others.  On Sunday 7th August, the orchestra will present an evening of classical music in the Church (time to be decided).  If you would like to help plan and prepare for this event, please contact the Parish Office – Tel. 839 7398

Howth Challenge Triathlon – 17th July 2011

healthpro would like to advise the community that on Sunday 17th July, the Howth Triathlon will commence at 8.30 am.  This will comprise of a Swim, Cycle and Run.  The cycle will be ascending through Howth Village.  This will be a great spectacle and we encourage our community to come out and have a look at all the athletes conquering Howth Hill for 4 laps (long course) and 2 laps (short course).  We would also like to advise motorists to take extreme care on this morning as there will be more cyclists on the road than normal.  We are also looking for volunteers to assist with marshalling this event from 7.00 a.m. - 12 noon.  If you know of anybody who could help please contact Harriette Lynch  086 8495476  or email: info@healthpro.ie.                    -           Harriette Lynch
